The HTC Desire has received a positive review as it seeks to take mobile application development to a new level.
Reviewing the phone for Gaj-IT, Tanya Hall notes the fact that the Desire is effectively a Nexus One with some extra features and a different interface.
One of the most impressive features to reviewers has been the size of the screen, coming in at 3.7 inches. If the trend of larger screens continues, then it could impact the type of applications available.
The addition of multi touch is also welcomed, something which could further enhance many applications, and the handset gets a high score for its sleek design.
Concluding her review, Hall says: "We love the big, bold screen on the Desire and think this is the handset to get people really longing for an Android phone."
Other Android devices either new to the market or expected soon include the Motorola Milestone, the HTC Legend and the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini.
