The Google Nexus One could hit British shores in April if the latest reports are to be believed.
According to the Daily Telegraph, that is when it is most likely to be ready for a UK launch, with Vodafone as the first official partner.
So far, both Google and Vodafone have only said that the device will be released in the spring, even though it has been available in the US since January 5th.
The eagerly-awaited device is notable for being the first handset that bears Google's name, even though it is actually made by HTC.
When it was first announced, Andy Rubin, vice president of Engineering at Google, said: "It's our way to raise the bar on what's possible when it comes to creating the best mobile experience for consumers."
Many phones already run the company's operating system, Android, including the HTC Dream, Motorola Droid and Sony Ericsson Xperia X10.
One of the reasons why the Android platform is attractive to consumers, networks and manufacturers is that there are thousands of applications available to download while development is less restricted than that of other rivals.
