Tailor made websites are useless unless they are optimised for search engines, it has been claimed.
An editorial from HTML Goodies stated that without a search engine optimisation (SEO) tactic in place, "you may as well just not even bother having a site at all".
In addition, the publication noted that visitors to a site will not stay long to find the information they want, so it needs to be readily available.
For the most part, viewers look at the first page and decide from there whether or not to look any further.
It was also pointed out that "content is still king" and that keywords and well-optimised titles need to feature among fresh copy.
Old text will not perform well in search engine rankings.
Blogs can help to maintain fresh content and offer other benefits too.
Kevin Gallagher recently used a Moovin on Up blog post to explain that this could also create relationships and connections with customers and establish a firm as an authority within its sector.
