Search giant Google was the UK's most visited website on Christmas Day, according to new data.
Hitwise revealed that more visits were made to the site than any other by British visitors on the bank holiday.
Google held the same position last year in the UK as well.
In the US, however, it was overtaken on the day by social networking website Facebook, as people contacted each other and arranged parties.
Earlier this month, Hitwise announced that 'facebook' was the most searched-for term on the internet overall.
In 2008, the top spot had been taken by 'myspace', but this slipped to second place for 2009.
The top ten most searched-for terms in 2009 include 'youtube', 'craigslist', 'ebay' and 'facebook login'.
Variations of 'facebook' featured four times in the top 25.
Google.com was 2009's most-visited website, followed by mail.yahoo.com and www.facebook.com.
Video-sharing website YouTube and online auction eBay were also in the top ten.
