How to make social media part of bespoke web design

29th December 2009

Tips have been given on how to combine social media with a bespoke website for a company.

Writing for Entrepreneur, Mikal E Belicove suggested using a feed strategy to prevent having to repeatedly upload fresh content to several outlets.

He explained that such a system allows firms to upload just once, while the content is then sent out across all the platforms.

Another recommendation was to use free widgets to enlist people to tweet about a brand using microblogging site Twitter.

Bespoke websites should also encourage people to become "fans" of a firm on Facebook and pass content on via the social networking website.

Companies could also make use of an interactive social media map that was launched earlier this year.

The World Map of Social Networks shows that the largest social networking platform in the world is Facebook.

It is the most-used social media website in 100 countries out of 127.
