Businesses wishing to create a tailor made website have been advised on what they need to consider regarding the design.
Caymanmama.com explained that logical rather than technical thought is required when carrying out search engine optimisation (SEO) for a website.
Firms need to imagine how people will think when seeking goods or services.
The website recommended that creators ensure description and title tags are optimised and that text in headlines is also well-used for SEO purposes.
Content needs to be unique to each webpage and contain plenty of keywords.
Businesses were, however, warned against keyword stuffing, which is penalised by search engines and reads badly.
A recent warning against content duplication was given by Jill Whalen in ISEdb.com.
She suggested categorising website content to help searchers find that they want more easily.
As an example, she suggested listing products in several categories if they fall into them all and avoiding repeating content that way.
