Mobile users need a simpler form of website in order to see it while on the move, new research has found.
According to Morgan Stanley's The Mobile Internet Report, as mobile internet continues to grow, bespoke web design needs to accommodate the smaller screens that will be used to see the websites.
It advised that websites be broken down into smaller sections and use simple headers, since mobile browsers have less capacity than computer ones.
Retailers should work out what mobile users are most likely to want to find when they go online and make navigation easy for them.
Morgan Stanley's research found that mobile internet is growing faster than desktop internet has done in the past.
Other issues covered in the report include how Apple and Facebook are bringing people into contact with each other.
In related mobile applications development news, Mobile editor James Atkinson recently said that BlackBerrys owe their consumer success to their business reputation.
He stated that the good name the mobile devices developed from businesses had come through to people buying them for personal use.
