Aesthetics matter in bespoke web design

19th November 2009

Bespoke web design needs to take appearance into account, an industry blogger has stated.

In an article for MediaPost, Rachel Moran said that online marketers prioritise "high visibility" and noted: "Superb digital presentation is the synergy between art and technology."

She urged website designers to combine HTML with Flash animation or make two websites, one dominated by each, and give users links to choose which one they want to view.

Ms Moran did note that other sites are more likely to link in to a website through HTML rather than Flash and stressed the need to keep elemental search engine optimisation strategies in place.

These might include putting keywords into page titles and keeping the frequency of these terms even.

Debanish Singh of the Times of India recently spoke to a number of website designers about Flash and HTML.

He noted that bespoke web design should consider a colour scheme and suit it to their business.

For example, florists may want brighter colours but stock traders may feel that other shades give the website a more appropriate tone.
