Owners of websites need to think about search engine optimisation (SEO) right from the beginning.
This is the claim made by SEO Consult blogger Michael, who stated: "Everything starts with web design."
According to the writer, all elements of web design need to have SEO as a factor in them from the beginning, such as tags for pictures and the proper use of keywords and links.
Michael stressed that the website designer and the optimiser need to work in close contact with each others as their jobs are very strongly linked to each other.
He also pointed out that a website designed from the start to cater for SEO purposes will be easier to maintain and change as necessary.
Prior to this, Michael wrote another blog post giving advice for effective SEO use of Twitter.
He highlighted the need for good keyword use since tweets are so short and reminded people that interaction through Twitter still needs to be brand-focused.
