Yorkshire fashion designer to set up website

19th October 2009

Website design is on the mind of a young fashion designer who lives in Yorkshire.

Charlotte Desmier of Doncaster is a runner-up in the Fashion Diversity competition at the Museum of London.

The 22-year-old, who graduated from the University Centre Doncaster with a degree in combined design, is now looking at setting up her own website.

She hopes that this will help to promote her and her work, allowing her to realise her dream of becoming a retail buyer.

Ms Desmier told South Yorkshire paper the Star that she wants to get some work experience to help with her career plans.

Another new website has been launched by Pendle council.

The local authority is now asking people for feedback on the facility.

Councillor Allan Buck told Pendle Today that it wants people to be able to access services through the website at any time.

The web team is going into libraries in the area to ask local residents for their input.
