Diverse content 'good for website SEO'

13th October 2009

Search engine optimisation (SEO) benefits when different types of content are incorporated into web design.

In an article for ReadWriteWeb, Jolie O'Dell explained that website owners need to "create content" and urged people to have images, audio, video and blogs.

She pointed out the SEO advantages this could bring, as well as opening up exchanges and dialogue with the target readership.

Ms O'Dell also noted the constantly changing nature of the internet and advised website owners to stay abreast of news and development in the field of web design.

Jill Whalen of High Rankings recently told EverythingPR that good web design involves creating a website that "goes above and beyond what others in the same space are doing".

She added that it is also important to raise a website's profile and try to promote it through word of mouth.

Ms Whalen said that press releases could be useful for advertising a website, though they will not do much good if the web design is not of high quality.
