GetJar has revealed Opera Mini to be the most popular application to be downloaded from its store.
With more than 25 million downloads, the mobile browser is more in demand than any other application available via this method.
GetJar also reported that Opera Mini has been downloaded for a number of different platforms, including Windows Mobile and the BlackBerry.
Since the year began, Opera Mini version 4.2 - the latest upgrade - has been downloaded almost 7.5 million times from the store.
Chief executive officer and founder of GetJar Ilja Lars said it is not surprising that it is so popular, explaining that the application is "universally useful and simple".
Opera recently reported that nearly 29.1 million people used the application last month and viewed over 12 billion pages.
This demonstrated a rise of 9.9 per cent from June's statistic and over 145 per cent compared with the year before.
