Google Labs has launched a new Android mobile application that lets users search for and find podcasts and online audio content.
The Listen app also enables users to stream music or download content for later, as well as subscribe to content from favoured feeds and searches. It additionally lists some of the most popular searches of the moment for those stuck for ideas.
"In short, Listen helps organise the world of audio information and makes it easily accessible anytime, anywhere," said Google Labs research scientists Bill Schilit and Sam Roweis on the Google Mobile blog.
The app is now available via Android Market. As it is a Google Labs experiment, the company is looking to users to offer feedback and ideas on how to improve it.
Google also announced yesterday (August 20th) that is now offering optimised image search results for feature phones after making them available for the iPhone and Android devices earlier this year.
