Google has announced that mobile users accessing Product Search via their handsets can now see a reformatted version of the service.
Product Search has been refined to work better with the iPhone and Android devices in the US and the UK and allows users to view online ratings, reviews, prices and product details on the go.
Yury Pinsky, product manager for the Google Mobile team, said the service could be particularly useful for those wanting to carry out product comparisons while shopping in physical stores.
"We hope Google Product Search for mobile helps you to make better-informed shopping choices," he remarked on the Official Google Blog
According to a separate blog post by Rob Stacey, software engineer at Google Mobile, the new search service offers the same information as that obtained via a standard computer.
Retailers can submit their products for inclusion in the product search engine through Google Base.
