Users of the iPhone make the most of their devices in terms of mobile media compared with those with other handsets, according to new statistics from comScore.
The research company compared usage of the iPhone among UK consumers with that of other smartphones and all mobile devices in general.
It found that more iPhone users indulged in activities such as mobile web browsing, listening to mobile music, accessing mobile email and mobile social networking than both the larger smartphone sector and the overall mobile market.
The study also revealed that users of the iPhone are largely male and between the ages of 18 and 44.
Alistair Hill, analyst for comScore, stated: "The iPhone is indeed an early adopter phenomenon in the UK."
Search engines, email, online news, music and film are among the most viewed mobile web content by UK users across all networks, according to recent figures from mobile operator Orange.
