Google has launched a new website that displays the capabilities of the V8 engine in its Chrome browser.
Chrome Experiments showcases a number of apps, games and other projects developed by over a dozen designers to demonstrate what can be achieved with Chrome's JavaScript engine.
"Whether you're a casual web surfer or an advanced JavaScript developer, we think you'll appreciate what they've achieved," commented Aaron Koblin of the Google Creative Lab in a blog post.
The new website comes days after Google took the wraps off a new beta version of Chrome, which features improved speed and additional browsing tools, including basic form autofill, full page zoom, autoscroll support a new tab-dragging option.
Meanwhile, Microsoft unveiled the first full version of Internet Explorer 8 today (March 19th), with the browser to made available as a public download in 25 different languages from 16:00 GMT.
According to Net Applications, Chrome accounts for 1.15 per cent of the browser market, compared with Internet Explorer's 67.44 per cent share.
