A new application promising 50 per cent faster search results on mobile devices has been made available to Windows Mobile users.
Google's Mobile App is designed to give easier access to the company's applications than navigating to google.com in the mobile browser.
According to the firm, the new programme will also reduce time taken typing with a search history function available.
Those with an even greater need for speed can add the application to the start menu of Pocket PCs to give easy access from within any application on phones.
Other mobile search innovations from Google include the Mobile App for iPhone, which allows users to conduct a web search using only their voice.
The application has proved particularly useful for local searches, by tailoring results to current location including cinema times and nearby restaurants.
