The Financial Times has launched a new website optimised for mobile devices.
Located at m.ft.com, the site uses the same branding and colour scheme as the normal Financial Times website but has a layout that is easier to navigate for mobile users.
The website has been optimised to work with touch-screens and, while it can work on any mobile phone, has been developed with the iPhone and BlackBerry devices in mind.
Features include quicker access to news content, as well as customisation and tracking options for stocks and enhanced search.
Further improvements will be made to the mobile website in the next few months, including interactive mobile charting and an iPhone app.
"We asked our tech-savvy readers what they wanted to see in the new mobile version of FT.com and we incorporated their feedback into the new site," remarked Rob Grimshaw, managing director of FT.com.
The Financial Times relaunched its main website in November last year, offering five main homepages, new navigation options and a cleaner design.
