Royal Mail is launching a new microsite aimed at promoting its latest range of stamps.
The site will support its Design Classic stamps, which contain iconic 20th century design-related images relating to innovations such as Harry Becks London Underground map, the Anglepoise lamp and Mary Quant's miniskirt, among others.
All of the integrated marketing activities linked to the collection encourage consumers to visit the microsite, where the stamps can be purchased and shoppers can sign up to Royal Mail's email list.
The campaign is part of a drive by Royal Mail to get more people to take up stamp collecting. Products in the new range include presentation packs, prestige stamp books, generic sheets and pre-paid postcards, among others.
"Stamps are about more than just the product; stamp collecting is an interest and as such can be difficult to define in terms of demographics," said Caroline Forbes, senior marcomms manager at Royal Mail.
