The Nexus One, Google's eagerly awaited mobile phone, has received a positive review in the run up to its UK launch.
Manufactured by HTC, the handset runs on Android 2.1 and will certainly be a crucial phone for anyone interested in mobile application development.
In a review for Reg Hardware, David Phelan is particularly keen on the interface, while he also thinks the voice recognition software, which can be used to compose emails, is a good addition.
The design of the handset is also praised, as is the five megapixel camera, which has a flash and auto-focus.
Phelan gives the Nexus One a score of 85 per cent and concludes by saying that the handset is "one of the best Android phones around".
This could soon be challenged, however, by the release of some devices that were recently announced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, including the HTC Desire, HTC Legend and the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini.
