Overview

Decorating Warehouse are a successful Nottingham based supplier of paints, wallpapers, and other decorating products with over 25 years of experience.  When Decorating Warehouse originally approached Pure Innovation they already had a successful e-commerce website and online presence, but were looking to take their online operation to the next level.

Pure Innovation designed and developed a bespoke e-commerce solution incorporating all of the more advanced ideas required by the site, such as variants of sub-products of products, that can occur with paints available in different colours and various sizes of tin.  Related products and product recommendations are also incorporated, allowing the site to highlight the products that should be used in combination with each other for the best results.

As the majority of Decorating Warehouse's business is with trade customers, a comprehensive pricing matrix was developed allowing the automated maintenance of the various trade price discounting schemes and individual discounts (by individual manufacturer, product line and individual products) given to their various trade customers.  This allows all the prices to be recalculated automatically throughout the store whenever there is a price change from the underlying manufacturer.

In addition a bespoke Electronic Point of Sale system was developed allowing in store staff to take advantage of the same system and pricing model, and allowing for a unified trade account system.
