Despite the current economic outlook, business at Pure Innovation is continuing to expand at a dizzying rate.  To cope with demand we are expanding our team with two new roles - a graphic designer and a PHP developer.

Graphic Designer: £20k - £30k per annum

An exciting opportunity for a talented and motivated graphic designer to become an integral part of our development process.  A customer-facing role with responsibilities ranging from wireframing and designing websites, through brand work to researching and providing advice on human computer interaction.

PHP/HTML Developer: £22k - £35k per annum

An opportunity to work alongside some of the most talented and innovative developers in the industry where you will constantly be challenged and pushed to find innovative solutions within strict time and budget constraints. 

All of our developments are built using XHTML with CSS for layout, and complying to all W3C guidelines.  Whilst we occasionally use other technologies, such as Perl or ASP.Net, our primary development environment is PHP utilising the Symfony framework running under Apache on Linux, so prior knowledge of Symfony would be advantageous.

A good knowledge of SQL databases is required, in particular MySQL or PostgreSQL.

Above all a can do attitude is required where the successful candidate will always find a way of solving a given problem, no matter how improbable it would seem to begin with.

Note:  Strictly no agencies for either role!

Whilst qualifications will be taken into account with both roles, we are primarily interested in demonstratable ability of prospective candidates.  Therefore a test will be required for each role.  Graphic designers will be set an assignment before we decide upon whether to interview a candidate or not.  Developers will be set a 45 minute test as part of their first interview.  This test will cover HTML, CSS, and PHP skills.

Salary will depend upon a candidates skill and experience.

Due to our rural location ownership of a car would be advantageous.
