The Atlantic Rowing Race is one of the toughest tests of human endurance in the world with an average crossing time of between 55 and 65 days. The Atlantic Rowing Race 2009 will be the sixth race of its kind and will start from La Gomera in the Canary Islands and finish in Antigua in the West Indies.

Pure Innovation were approached by one of the race competitors, James Ketchell, to assist in the development of his website for the 2009 event. The website has been created as the source of all information relating to James's progress and is constantly updated by James himself via satellite connection from the boat! For this reason Pure Innovation created a simple, low bandwidth content management system which can easily be used by James on his limited connection to update the site.
