Congratulations, Captain Ketch!!!
After 111 days, 4 hours and 4 minutes the Atlantic Adventurer James Ketchell has successfully completed the Atlantic Rowing Race 2009 on Saturday 24 April 2010.
James tackled 3,000 miles of open sea purely by the power of his own strength and determination to overcome the difficulties of being at sea, exposure to extreme weather, isolation and the daily physical challenge.
We were always kept up-to-date with James' progress on his blog to which he was able to connect to via a satellite connection installed on his boat. Pure Innovation created a simple, low bandwidth content management system for him that allows easy access from anywhere, even from the middle of the Atlantic ocean. Friends, family and supporters were also able to send text messages to boost moral support and good lucks and now to congratulate him on his success.
Everyone here at Pure Innovation would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the Atlantic Adventurer on his amazing success and we are very excited to hear about his adventure in person on his return to the UK.
